How to Choose Men's Motorcycle Chaps
Lining and riding season
Mesh-lined and vented chaps stay cooler on summer rides. Snap-out thermal liners add warmth on cold mornings and come out as the day warms up. For winter riding, look at our heated chaps.
Pockets
Choose from jean-style front pockets, zippered thigh pockets, slash pockets and coin pockets, depending on what you carry on the bike.
Leather weight
Heavier leather is stiffer and more resistant to abrasion; lighter leather is easier to move in. Each product page lists the leather used.
Fringe and unisex styles
Want a traditional fringe look? Our men's & women's fringe leather chaps are sized for both men and women.
How Should Motorcycle Chaps Fit?
Chaps are worn over your jeans. They should be snug through the thigh without pinching when you're seated on the bike, with the waist adjusted by the belt and back lacing. Many of our chaps are cut long on purpose, so check the length while seated and trim to fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do chaps go over jeans?
Yes. Chaps are made to be worn over jeans or riding pants, and they zip on and off each leg.
How do I choose my chaps size?
Measure around the fullest part of your thigh, just below the crotch, and match it to the size chart on the product page. Size charts vary by brand, so check the chart for the chaps you choose.
What's the difference between chaps and leather pants?
Chaps cover the front and sides of your legs and are open at the seat, so you wear them over your pants and take them off when you get off the bike. Leather pants are a full pair of pants worn instead of jeans.
Do you carry tall sizes?
Yes. See our tall chaps. We also carry textile chaps and women's leather chaps.
